What an incredible honor for our Bulldog scholars! 🎉
Last night, the Hesperia City Council recognized Dana Baraka, Robert Long, and Jocelyn Virgen (with Jorge Espinoza and Victoria Fierro not pictured) for their 1st place win at the High Desert Hispanic Chamber of Commerce mock bill competition in April! Thank you to Dave Olney and Michelle Smith who were in attendance to celebrate their achievement.
Their groundbreaking bill on aqueduct safety reinforcement has garnered support from our local council all the way to the state level. And the amazing news keeps coming: Governor Gavin Newsom has personally invited them to Sacramento in June to present their bill to him! This is a truly rare and well-deserved honor!
Congratulations to these brilliant students – we can't wait to see what they accomplish next!
